Rooftop Helipad

Post by Brandon Cole on Sat Oct 19, 2013 6:01 pm

Much to the man's delight, there was no one occupying the roof when he arrived. Then again, few people ever came up here for social activity regardless of the time of day so it would be a stretch to say he was all that surprised by it. Hands in the pockets of his jeans, the lean man made his way across the roof to a nice open section of the helipad. Lying down on the black landing pad, the soldier sighed at the pleasant warmth spreading over his back. There'd been nothing but sunshine all day long with clear blue skies. With weather like this, he would probably just kick back for a nap once he was done with his routine for the afternoon. Reaching into his pants pockets, Brandon pulled out a small slingshot and a bag of marble sized pebbles. With marginal interest, he placed a shot into the sling and pulled back on the elastic band to aim the toy straight into the air. Thankfully the sun wasn't in a position to blind him any longer so this little drill was actually possible. Releasing the sling, the pebble shot forth into the sky, Cole's blue eyes tracking it all the way. Finally, the projectile reached its peak and began to fall back to earth in the clutches of gravity. Keeping his focus, the archer maintained sight of the pebble drawing closer and closer to his face. Finally, the soldier shifted his head a few degrees to the right to barely slip the stone which bounced off the surface of the helipad harmlessly.

Frowning, Cole loaded another pebble and launched it skyward. It was a terribly boring process but it had to be done along with a host of other drills he'd experimented with to sharpen his perceptions. When your job is to hunt bloodthirsty monsters capable of outrunning a car, getting creative was a requirement to even have a chance at following what they were doing. And so he made sure to put in the time whenever he could. Before long, he'd exhaust the entire baggy of stones, shifting as little as possible to avoid being hit by them each time. Once that was done with, he could get down to relaxing a bit. Arms folded behind his head, the movement of the clouds above would be his entertainment until the bliss of sleep overtook him. At least then he wouldn't need to worry about his incessant boredom for a while.

Re: Rooftop Helipad

Post by Eleanor Harkness on Wed Oct 30, 2013 4:28 pm

Her workout had been a touch more strenuous than usual, but that meant it left her sore in the places she knew she needed to focus on. Freshly showered, she realizes while toweling off that she hadn’t seen her partner around for most of the day, and if anyone could fill up her free time with witty banter and a sparkling personality, it would be him.

Dressing, she tosses her bag into her locker and goes in search of her wayward partner. This time of day, and with the hustle and bustle of the main areas, she knows he will be someplace secluded. Since the gym was out, and his room would provide no distraction, she fell back onto the one place she knew he could find a bit of time alone.

She is right, of course.

Upon opening the door to the helipad, she spies the tall man stretched out and apparently well on his way to napping. Allowing the door to swing close without hindrance, she makes her way to his side, one hand on her hip while she stares down at him.

“Nap time, eh? God, could you be any lazier?”

A blonde eyebrow tilts upwards, a quirk of a smile playing at her lips. Teasing him had become a thing she did only because he tolerated it, and at times he even rose to the challenge, dragging him out of his constant state of boredom.

Ten minutes had passed at best since he'd exhausted his supply of pebbles and settled back for his nap. That meant about eight minutes of uninterrupted napping before his overly social partner had burst onto the scene, her tongue quick as ever. He'd heard her coming from some ways off, her steps light enough to rule out a fair number of the base's operatives. When she reached the roof her scent had given her away. After all this time he was familiar enough with it to put two and two together before she'd opened her mouth to poke and prod him a bit. Grudgingly, he opened his eyes and looked at her, his face the picture of disinterest.

"I probably could if you didn't make it a habit of coming after me up here." Covering his mouth for a yawn, Cole readjusted his posture on the ground and found a section of rooftop that was still warm from the baking sun. Eyes closed again as he got comfortable, Brandon addressed his partner without directly looking at her. "So what's up, Eleanor? Need help stuffing the yoga mats back into the closet or is the terrorist after you for another rematch?" he asked, not bothering to drop the name of the terrorist he was referring to. At one point, the title of "the terrorist" could have described half of V.W.A.T. and their drafted convicts. However with a rise in casualties recently there was little need for clarification this time.

The blonde woman shrugs slightly.

“If I didn’t come after you, you would miss most of the briefings.”

Her small smirk grew into a full grin as she slides down beside him, stretching out, one hand settling behind her head while the other drapes over her midsection. Shifting to get comfortable, she exhales to blow a few wayward bangs from her eyes.

“I am perfectly capable of putting them away on my own, thank you very much.”

She pauses for a second, then raises an eyebrow.

“Of course, it’s nice to have a helpful new kid to handle their wrangling.”

The operative rolls her head over to look the man over.

“And what makes you think I would need your help for my terrorist problems?”

"Tch, not like I'd be missing much. Go to X, kill Y, come home. It get's old, Eleanor," he said with his eyes still shut. It was a level of trust that he rarely demonstrated to other members of VWAT due to their various sordid histories but he trusted Harkness to not slip a knife between his ribs after all this time. Then again, even if she did perhaps it would be a decent way to liven things up around the base.

He allowed her retort about her ability to put away her toys go without a response of his own. That was one can of worms that he wasn't prepared to open so he turned his attention to their other conversation topic. "You probably don't. Then again, even if you did it would take a lot more to get me motivated than a criminal with a demolitions fetish."

She ignores his first comment, knowing full well his boredom was getting the better of him. Routine had begun to take its toll on him, which got her thinking.

This was never a good thing.

Bringing her arms up in front of her face, she stretches them out, smiling a bit at the sensation. "Ha. Terrorist fantasies I can deal with. Starvation, I cannot."

The operative sits up and turns to look at him. "I'm hungry. Come eat lunch with me."

It wasn't a request, really; she had nothing left for the rest of the day, and it seemed he was in need of something, anything to distract him.

At the mention of food, the archer's brow quirked up a few centimeters. Food didn't sound all that bad actually. Come to think of it, he'd forgotten to grab a proper breakfast this morning. Yawning one final time, Cole opened his eyes for the first time in a while, blinking to readjust to the glare of the sun overhead. The arms folded behind his head shifted to brace his palms against the warm rooftop and in one smooth motion flung him up to his feet in a flawless kick-up. He took a moment to shift the way his warm up jacket was riding across his shoulder blades before finally slipping his hands into the pockets of his jeans.

"I can do food. Let's get out of here."

Rolling her eyes at his antics, she sits up then stands smoothly to her feet, her movements very much akin to a feline uncurling from their nap.

The operative runs her hands through her damp hair to shake out any dust or debris that might have been picked up from laying against the pad, and looks up to meet him in the eye - a feat considering their height differences.

"My bike or borrowed car?"

She grins, dropping her hands.

"I even have a non-pink helmet for you this time."

Letting out a scoff, Cole made his way towards the rooftop access door with a slight smirk. Sliding one hand out of his pocket, he waved at her dismissively over his shoulder. "No dice, Eleanor. They're serving ribs on base today," he said, reaching the door and opening it with his free hand. Glancing back to see if she was still joining him, he flashed a quick smile at the spy. "Besides, I look better in blue."

OOC: My apologies for the short post. My schedule should settle down by next week which will hopefully improve my posting.

Re: Rooftop Helipad

Post by Keira Deyanira on Mon Jan 13, 2014 1:20 am

Enter ----> New Arrivals

Plummeting from twenty-five-thousand feet in an absolute free fall, Keira's trademark smirk was still present under her oxygen mask as she tumbled and turned in mid-flight, making full use of her air time to get in a few carefree flips and twirls on her way down, like a child with a new toy. She had done it many times before, and heights had never really bothered her, so she was fully used to these kinds of situations.

She used the opportunity to take note of her team behind her as well, catching glimpses of them in between turns to make sure she'd gotten a proper head-start and would most likely be the first one down.

After all, she wasn't paying for dinner.

Straightening herself out like spear after regaining her center in mid fall, she now fell in such a way that her back was facing the ground to give her a clear view of the sky, people, and plane currently above her, relying on the alt-meter on her wrist to properly keep track of how high she was and how fast she was falling. She wasn't going to open her chute until she hit terminal velocity, and she still had a few thousand feet left before she reached that point.

She passed the time by glancing back toward the ground and the quickly approaching Ft. Belvoir below, taking the time to memorize the skyward view and the surrounding terrain before turning her gaze back toward the people above, and giving a mock salute with two of her fingers against the forehead of her helmet. She then righted herself into the proper position and continued her free fall for several more seconds, reaching terminal velocity mere moments before righting herself.

Having experienced about two minutes of free fall time, it was about time for her to slow her descent so she didn't wind up a pancake on V.W.A.T.'s helipad, and pulled her parachutes cord a few moments after noticing her height. Soldiers of the parachute regiment typically balked at opening their parachutes at around 250ft, but Keira cut it even closer by deploying hers at around 190ft, as per her alt meter, putting said balking to shame.

It took a few moments for the parachute to catch wind, but the moment it did allowed for her to ease her descent toward the center of the helipad with relative ease, being carried downward by the large piece of fabric above her.

She was the first one down, so she was safe from buying anyone dinner.

Her feet touched the pad and she immediately - with practiced and familiarized ease - reined in her chute and began to remove the heavy gear that was required with the jump; her helmet and oxygen mask being first to free her short black locks and reveal her eery smirk.

The others wouldn't be too far behind her.

Re: Rooftop Helipad

Post by Jensen Newgate on Mon Jan 13, 2014 5:27 pm

Jensen was still laughing as he did all manners of front flips and back flips. The time it would take them to get to the the pull altitude gave them ample opportunity to show off. Unlike a lot of military men and women, jumping out of an airplane onto the roof of his new base was perfectly normal to Jensen. Hell he found the threat of crashing into the pavement more similar to an aphrodisiac than a fear.

He followed Keira's lead and began turning onto his back to see where his fellow squadmates were. He was easily in second place at the time and knew he would probably land before everyone else, other than Keira. He flipped back over and checked his altimeter to see how long he had left. Quite a ways to go before he needed to pull the rip cord.

He pulled his arms close to his body and closed his legs, making a spear, and he began to shoot through the air. He counted to thirty before he spread eagle again and rapidly slowed his decent to check his altimeter. 400 feet. 300 Feet. He pulled the decent parachute and felt the tug as he began to slow. 250 feet. 225 feet. 200 feet. Rip cord released the parachute fully and then he felt the 'slight' tug as the parachute caught the air and pulled him back up. He had pulled the parachute at 194 feet ending his free fall and held him aloft so he could land on the helipad.

He grabbed the parachute handles and began rotating so he could have a direct approached across the helipad before turning towards the helipad. He saw it nearing and then it was under him. Flaring the shoot, he slowed his forward motion to a near stop before releasing it and landing on his feet. As soon as he landed he released the shoot to keep it from catching wind and began reeling it in. As soon as he was i no danger of the parachute catching wind, he released his pack and dropped the parachute pack right after one another.

He looked at the occupants of the Helipad, seeing Keira and an unknown male with probably a pound of shit in his pants. He didn't remove his helmet immediately, preferring to keep his hand on his weapon and his eyes with an unrestricted view of the man. If the man did anything hostile such as pulling a firearm, the man would find a barrel stuffed in his face.

Re: Rooftop Helipad

Post by Director Hawthorne on Mon Jan 13, 2014 7:35 pm

Aiden was yelling in slight panic as he fell through the air in an uncontrolled free-fall. "Shit, Shit, Shit!!" Aiden yelled as he fell through the sky. Finally he managed to force his body back on course as he fell through the clouds. He watched the two below him. As he spotted his two squad mates appear in view he noticed the two of them were quite a ways ahead of him. He shut his eyes and turned his body mid air so his back was facing towards the ground. He took a quick moment to see if Zulu had actually woken up and followed him before turning back over and bringing his arms in to his sides and tilting himself so his body cut through the air like an arrow.

As he neared cut through the air he bit his lip as he saw both Keira and Jensen pull their cords and open their parachutes. "Shit!" Aiden growled. At this point both of them were gonna touch down before he did it was a fact he knew well enough already. That meant the only competition to beat now would be Zulu and he'd be damned before he lost to someone he'd went through the trouble of being nice to. Karma had to give him something for that didn't it? As he cut through the air he glanced down at his Altimeter noticing the standard parachute release point rapidly approaching.

He spread his arms and legs out to slow his descent as he reached around 530 feet. He kept an eye on his altimeter as he fell through the air as it quickly timed down faster and faster as the ground approached quicker. He took a quick glance toward the ground doing a quick calculation of his landing zone and where he was in the sky. After his quick observation he glanced down at his altimeter again before pulling his ripcord. He could feel his chute open as his harness tugged a bit on his body as the chute caught the air inside of it slowing his descent. He gripped the two handles and kept his legs together as he came down on the landing zone. He manipulated the handles as he came closer to the ground.

As he reached about a few feet above the surface of the landing pad he released the chute and touched the ground feet first. He quickly pulled in his chute gathering it up in his arms as he used his other hand to release his pack from it's harness. He pulled his helmet off and his mask and ruffled his hair a bit to get rid of helmet hair. "Well we haven't been shot yet I think this is going well." Aiden said with a bit of a positive tone in his voice. He was actually rather happy that he wouldn't be paying for dinner tonight. He glanced around at the other people standing around the landing zone. So far he could see Keira, Jensen and some unknown guy but no Zulu. "Not paying tonight!!" Aiden thought gleefully in his mind

Re: Rooftop Helipad

Post by Zulu on Mon Jan 13, 2014 9:39 pm

"That's what YOU think." Zulu popped up from his previously unknown vicinity with the smuggest shit eating grin he can muster, popping into view from behind Aiden as his mask obscured his features. His hand would reach to pat the man on his back as Karma was a bitch and a ho. YEP, it pays to actually dive in like a rocket earlier, and to actually get ahead of his teammate. Though his landing was SUCH a pain in the ass, and not as graceful as he'd have liked. He actually LANDED on the edge of the helipad, and hung from there, and had to climb his ass up from there, rather than risk falling down like some ragdoll punted around like a munty.

Earlier.

He fell not like some ragdoll waving about his arms silly, trying to maintain control, but rather just focused his descent down like a javelin flung from an ancient African warrior trying to seize a lion into the sharp pointy end of the stick. The wind whistled past his ears and the cold was FREEZING AS FUCK. Well, would be more freezing if he actually decided to wear less, like a sleeve that only reaches the the forearm rather than the full sleeved shirt he is wearing, which is pretty convenient too. And the fact he wore a mask, which means the only cold he had to endure would be the one that shot through his clothes and licked his skin with chilly icy breath.

As he had went ahead of Aiden by a long shot, Zulu saw the perimeter he was supposed to land in, the conditions were NOT favorable to him on the other hand though, as he has dived ever so closer to the area in which he has to land in. Finally pulling the cord on the chute when he felt it would be as low as he can go, and land there accurately. Suddenly brought upwards, to descend downwards slowly but surely towards the helipad. Hovering down as he did his best to aim towards the ground, only to go close to the edge, much closer than he'd have liked, as the winds tried to drag him to still drift further down past the helipad. Zulu grasped against the edge as the chute conspired to pull him along, with Zulu himself detaching it manually. Pulling out a knife to slice through the parachute cords, watching it fly off on its own, carried off the winds.

"OH FUCK ME OVER BY A DUCK!" He angrily cursed under his mask.

Tethering from the edge, he sheathed his knife on one hand, slapped that said arm to the edge, swung himself to the side and hooked his leg to the edge as well. Climbing upwards with a roll further into the helipad only to be met with the hopeful sight of Aiden thinking himself free of the debts of a steak. Which is just how he has come to enter this fruity situation in the first place.

Present.

"So yeah, I think I'll order some fillet mignon, the most expensive steak out there, ALLLLL on your tab, X-Ray." Mac chuckled his hearty one, "And you should make it snappy, buttcheeks."

Re: Rooftop Helipad

Post by Brandon Cole on Tue Jan 14, 2014 6:11 pm

Harkness exited through the rooftop doorway quickly enough with Cole casually joining along to close the door behind him. However, just before he left, the archer took another glance skyward to enjoy the view while he could. Much to his surprise, the formerly pure blue sky had several new decorations; parachutes. Cocking a brow, Cole allowed the door to close without passing through it and strolled back towards the helipad the skydivers seemed to be aiming for. With both of his hands tucked into his pockets, Brandon watched with mild curiosity as they touched down one by one. Their accuracy was pretty good, technique was there as well to back up the hardware they all seemed to be packing. Obviously military personnel but no real way to pinpoint an exact branch. Didn't seem to be hostile though. Too many smiles and jokes between them, not to mention the fact that none of them had put a bullet in him yet. Most likely answer was that they were new transfers to bolster VWAT's falling military numbers. Ironic how opposed some of the brass was to using criminals in the field despite their higher survival rating. Oh well, it wasn't his call who the guys in charge brought in.

Tilting his head to the side, the archer made a few more observations on the newly arrived A Team impersonators. "There's a front door you know," the former Ranger said, stifling a yawn.

Re: Rooftop Helipad

Post by Keira Deyanira on Tue Jan 14, 2014 7:04 pm

The now unnecessary gear that was needed for the recent jump began to pile on the floor of the helipad as Keira stripped all of it off to free her civilian clothing, the only remaining pieces of gear still in her grip being her duffle bag, which was now casually thrown over her shoulder.

Running her free hand through her black locks of hair, Keira gave a glance over her shoulder toward the rest of her crew - taking note of everyone's position and demeanor - before turning her attention back to the man who was originally here, giving friendly two finger wave.

"I would hope so, this is a military base after all."

Keira flashed a quick hand signal toward Jensen as she spoke, essentially telling him the situation was fine so he could remove his gear. It's not like anyone here was stupid enough to shoot at them to begin with, but if they had wanted to they would have done it while they were in the air. It was obvious there were no threats here.

Her smirk quirked a bit as she glanced toward Aiden and Marion, "Cutting it close, Zulu, that was a pretty sketchy landing. But it look's like today just isn't your day, X-ray. I'll be having a Bone-in Ribeye for dinner."

Jokes and bets aside, it was about time they got briefed and introduced to their new boss. So, that in mind, she turned toward the yawning man with an inquiry.

"Mind playin' chauffeur and leading the way to your Director?"

Jensen nodded at Keira's okay and slipped the helmet off his head revealing traditional marine corp high-and-tigh hair cut and a set of dark eyes that were quickly hidden by a pair of tactical glasses he removed from a pants pocket. Unlike the others who were in their civvies, Jensen was in his black MCCUUs. Before Jensen grabbed his pack, he knelt down and began rolling the parachute into a tight bundle before he, shittily, stuffed it back in the pack as best he could.

Picking up the woodland MARPAT ILBE pack he nodded to Keira signaling he was done. The overstuffed pack was put onto his left shoulder while his right hand tapped 'Flight of the Valkyrie' on the grip of his M45.

Re: Rooftop Helipad

Post by Director Hawthorne on Thu Jan 16, 2014 9:51 pm

Aiden felt his heart drop into his stomach as he saw Zulu climb up over the edge of the helipad. For a brief moment outrage surged up as well as he tossed his helmet onto the helipad surface. "Ahhh shit..." Aiden muttered as he ran his fingers through his hair. He sighed as he squatted down pulling his hair in frustration as everyone listed off their meals of choice. It was no secret that Jensen and Keira ate alot but luckily for him it seemed Keira had decided to treat herself to a light meal this time around much to his relief. Jensen however was not as kind to his wallet as Keira had been.

He listened to Zulu's order and felt his eye twitch as his shot towards his own misfortune regarding shots to the ass. "Sure thing...Marion, Want me to get something for your boyfriend Robin Hood too?" Aiden said smirking. He took alot of shit for his bad luck but he wasn't just gonna let Zulu get away with stealing the win from him without some retaliation. He knelt down opening up his pack and shoved his parachute into the bag. As he finished packing the parachute into the pack he slung it over his shoulder.

He glanced toward the guy who'd been on the roof with them when they landed. "We're not exactly front door people." Aiden said shrugging. As he finished speaking he pulled out his phone as he felt it vibrate in one of the pockets of his pack. He looked at the small screen and winced seeing the full inbox of text messages from his wife. Ever since they'd been married Jasmine had made it a habit of making sure she knew that he was alright. He made a quick reply before dropping his phone into one of the pockets of his BDU pants. "So yeah..."Aiden took a quick look around at Fort Belvoir "This place...doesn't seem too secret..." Aiden said.

Re: Rooftop Helipad

Post by Zulu on Fri Jan 17, 2014 10:30 am

Zulu found his nicknaming of buttchee-- Aiden hilarious. Buttcheeks, that's a great one. He should consider using that whenever the opportunity presents, as he gave time into personal introspection, keeping his helm and mask on as he found no reason to expose his face to these personnel. Nonetheless, he nodded towards Wolf Leader, as he has come to refer to Keira, sometimes foregoing the callsign given she is akin to a wolf. A hunter of the night, and one that is alpha among the pack. And some other shit like that, blah de blah blah, introspective things that don't really matter much in the battlefield. Anyways, nice stuff to consider metaphorically.

"Nothing that would put me out of commission, ma'am. Just a rogue wind that seemed to want to give me some handicap. God knows X-Ray needs it." He inclined his attention to Aiden, a malicious smile streaking as he heard the verbal barb sent like an arrow towards his way, over this quasi figure, Robin Hood, whomever Aiden was alluding to, as Zulu couldn't notice anyone that'd fit that description, certainly not the Sasquatch, "I am not the one who takes it up the ass here, buttcheeks." He deflected the arrow into a verbal nuke RIGHT into Aiden's face. Or something he'd like to superimpose in imagination so. A shame that he has gotten a lot of flak over getting shot in the ass a LOT, but it seems somehow it is a divinely attributed catastrophe for it to happen, A LOT. Which come to think of it, it is almost hex-like to even veer towards the blondie's hindquarters without fail, EVEN WHEN he was sniping from afar, and in cover.

Whatever results entail and wherever would happen in the conversation between Keira and the yawning man. If Wolf Leader or 'Fenrir' was led into the bowels of the base, Zulu would follow, otherwise, he'd spread his attention to what he beholds, watching the surrounding as he absorbed it into memory, doing so in a rather random manner. Careless, he scratches his crotch, leasing himself from the temperamental itch that took hold upon his loins in such a vexatious manner.

Re: Rooftop Helipad

Post by Brandon Cole on Fri Jan 17, 2014 11:42 am

After listening to these guys for a moment it was easy enough to piece things together. Betting dinner over the last one down explained the speed of their descent and the fact that they'd still managed safe landings was further indication of their advanced training. That being said, the chatter was quickly becoming annoying. "It's a military base not the freaking Batcave, dumbass," the archer said singling out the straggler's comment on VWAT's headquarters. Shaking his head, Cole dismissed the situation as one big headache waiting to happen and turned towards the door to leave. "Any why should I be the team's errand boy? Find him yourself or get one of the office flunkies to hold your hand. I got no interest in you," he called over his shoulder to the female leader of the group. Hands once again in his pockets, he headed for the door with a relaxed stride. Harkness had wandered off on him already. Knowing her it was a crap shoot whether she planned on staying on base for lunch or flying off on that crotch rocket of hers. Oh well, no matter. A quick bite in the mess hall and some light exercise didn't sound too bad.

Re: Rooftop Helipad

Post by Keira Deyanira on Fri Jan 17, 2014 2:12 pm

The back and forth banter between the members of her unit were rather amusing, warranting an expected sigh and casual shrug of her shoulders in response. Truly these men were one of a kind in both their skill and their sense of humor. It was a nice change of pace from everything being so serious and to the point, and it was common occurrence amongst soldiers in general. One can't go into that line of work without developing a sense of humor, regardless of what kind it was.

However, it seemed the yawning man didn't find the situation as amusing as most people would, and Keira caught the signs in his body language and his response with her keen gaze. A man with such an droll demeanor came off as possessing at least one or two clinical conditions; she guessed some sort of depression or blunted effect, or both. She could spot such problems easily enough, after all, mental insight was something she favored utilizing.

Regardless, his response was something she found rather unkind. It would be understandable if she demanded him to give them the grand tour, but his kind of response wasn't needed for her simple question. She waved for the others to follow - throwing in a quick hand signal to further explain that they were going to find the director themselves. If Cole didn't want to play escort, she was fine with it, but she wouldn't put up with unnecessary disrespect without doing a bit of barking of her own.

The eery smirk still on her lips, ominously becoming a bit darker than before, she spoke with a hint of a threatening undertone as she casually made her way toward the door. The tone indicated nothing certain or absolute - or so it appeared - still keeping her otherwise friendly demeanor.

"Careful, 'Misha', a baby bear may be cuddly and have a cute little roar, but their oblivious nature often makes them bite off more than they can chew, and typically gets them turned into pelts."

Jensen smiled. Obviously this guy didn't have any idea who he was insulting. That 'dumbass' had been one of the original members of N9 that had saved his ass in Iran and killed Osama bin Laden. And of course one of the symptoms of PTSD is quick to anger over trivial matters, like this. He took one step forward, his right hand on the pistol grip of his rifle and his ears playing the scenes of a battle with eyes assisting by showing tracers firing into the sky. Of course Jensen was trained to keep his emotions in check thanks to N9 and the Iranian Black Site. With his left hand scratching the side of his face, he smiled.

"I'd watch your mouth, runt," his Georgian accent prevalent as he spoke, "This 'dumbass' here had a legit question which deserved a straight answer not. Not, your smart ass remark. So yea, you can go play with the other children while the grownups go about their business. Or, if you like, I can play with you but I don't think you'd like what game I had in mind."

He took a step back nodding his apology to Keira as he adjusted his collar under the CIRAS vest. His mind was running with scenarios of 'games' he could play with the skinny man. There's always tossing him off the helipad to see if he can fly. Then there was shooting at his feet to make him dance, probably while rapping 'Bullets make him dance, Bullets make him dance'. And his personal favorite, picking him up by his ears and holding over the edge acting like he was going to drop him. This was fun.

Despite his outward appearance of calmness, Jensen was on fire inside. The heat and twisting feeling of his emotions, anger being the most prevalent and the hardest to control, that had been locked away several years ago was tearing him up inside. He needed to do something that pumped adrenaline and endorphins into his body in the next couple of days, which always seemed to hold it off for a while. A firefight would be good.

It had been overly long for her wayward partner to sidle down the stairs with her. Rolling her eyes, she turned back around and trudged up the few stairs she'd traipsed down and threw open the door to the rooftop.

There were a lot more people here than when she'd left.

Cole, of course, was the center of all their attentions, and the lot of them appeared ready for a fight. Or, at least, hoping for one. It would never, ever cease to amaze her how ridiculous people could be. As her foot hit the deck, the last one spoke - in answer to a statement from Cole, she assumed - and the words were just...silly. Childish. Then again, all attempts to wave about one's dick to impress usually made her roll her eyes.

Holding the door open, she tries to clear her throat but ends up nearly laughing instead.

"What are you, five? Fucking relax, Rambo."

She makes a wave with her hand.

"While this little gathering is just thrilling, I'm going to borrow my dance partner here because it's lunch, and he's buying."

The blonde operative stays at the door, an exasperated smirk on her face, waiting for Cole to hurry his ass up.

Aiden rolled his eyes "Jesus Marion you ever get tired of the ass jokes? It was funny the first hundred times, annoying the next hundred. But now...It's just flat out boring." Aiden muttered rubbing the back of his head. He wasn't really in the mood for another dick fighting match with Zulu at the moment and responding to his butt taunts was the perfect way to start those types of things. He glanced toward the guy they encountered on the roof as he began to talk and scowled. Where the hell did this guy get off on calling someone he didn't even know a dumbass. He held his tongue however and settled for glaring at the man imagining what his head would look like in the middle of his crosshairs.

He shook his head however clearing those murderous thoughts from his mind. As he heard both Jensen and Keira speak he felt a small smile spread across his lips. Sure the two liked to make him pay for dinner and make comments about his ass but he knew he could rely on them both. As the guy walked away he crossed his arms behind his head "Geez sorry Zulu I think the dick of the year award just went to someone else better luck next year." Aiden said glancing towards Zulu. He wasn't going to make a big deal out of this guy, If he wanted to be an asshole then that was his business. In the end it was never a good idea to mock the guy who could be zeroing in on you through a scope a mile away.

He heard the door to the helipad open up as a new person walked out onto the helipad. "Oh look boss a new person maybe we can throw a party up here." Aiden said giving the newcomer a wave. As she spoke to Jensen he sighed "This escalated fast..." Aiden muttered taking a tally of what had occured thus far first they'd landed and ran into Captain sunshine and daisies who had instead ended up being Commander jerkbag. Thus sparking the ire of Keira and Jensen and now more fuel was being poured onto an already burning fire.

Re: Rooftop Helipad

Tensions were brewing heavily in the air as testosterone, and penile erection contests of comparisons were wafting and waved around, metaphorically speaking. Well, he wasn't really interested in these rivalries or whatever it was that was going on, and he felt pretty nice for once, for once. So Zulu did the SANE THING, and pulled out a pistol, pulling the trigger as he unloaded several rounds into the interloping VWAT flunkie's face. NOT. That was a perceived imagination as he went into further introspection of hilarity that'd entail from the violence of shooting someone he just met in the face as explosive gore oozes out into pus-like violent disco of death. Of course, if he did that, he'd be a bad, baaaaaad maaan. He is a nice innocent man, nice indeed. So Zulu did the sane thing, this time, actually DOING it, by walking away, flanking the rest of his squad, the shrub, and then heading just past the chick-woman holding the door for the man-thing to warrant entry into the building unit podium. Inclining a nod to the Harkening Harkness monst-- woman. Right, not Loch Ness monster, not that he knew her name.

"Yeaaaah, I'mma see you all over at the Director's office." He waved behind himself, as he went ahead ad into the confines of the building, resplendent with an expression of dull boredom as he figured he needed some sleep. Maybe. Keeping up his visual acuity of prior awareness into a constant, as were his behaviour the same.

Re: Rooftop Helipad

Post by Brandon Cole on Thu Jan 23, 2014 1:26 am

"Oh you can't be serious. We're doing this? They're actually doing this? Who the hell actually does this shit anymore?" Brandon Cole pondered silently as the female head of the newly arrived group and the Brawny Man look-a-like jumped up in defense of their insulted teammate. That level of investment was utterly foreign to the archer. It normally required a life or death mission hunting the supernatural to light a fire in Brandon's chest so the very concept of getting this excited over an insult was just plain weird. To her credit, the woman tried her hand at what she evidently believed was subtlety. Unfortunately the delivery was too wordy and the threat quickly faded into an ignored murmuring without the Ranger even bothering to turn to face her.

The other one was a bit more fun. Not even a hint of subtlety, it was a direct challenge. Taking him up on it was tempting but the likely ending would involve several well-trained guns being drawn on the unarmed archer. Cole was confident, not stupid. Therefore the only rational choice was to ridicule the man. Raising his voice enough to be clearly heard by the peanut gallery behind him, Brandon decided on a short quip due to the return of Harkness. If he gave her too much leeway to get going there'd be no stopping the energizer bunny masquerading in the guise of a woman.

"I'll pass on that waste of my time. Try blondie. I bet he's got plenty of experience playing your games considering the way you all obsess over his ass," the VWAT agent said, nodding to Eleanor before making his way down the staircase.
